Atlantic Ocean At Last

Today we spent in Concord, NH--the state capitol. We drove downtown to see the State building, and check out the stores. We parked in front of a Camera shop and went in but forgot to put the money in the meter--When we came out, we had a parking ticket. Welcome to New Hampshire, right? So we then had to find the Police Department and walked 3-4 blocks to pay our $5 ticket. We did get a few pictures of the Capitol building as we took our walk, and it was another beautiful day.

We then had lunch at the Concord Grille, and checked out the New Hampshire Artisans Gallery, before heading on east to Maine. On our journey along Route 4 we found a lovely little stream and picnic area where I got to gather a few "prized-treasure rocks" for my flower garden. The road we travelled to Maine had lots of antique shops and book stores on it. We did stop in a couple of them before reaching the ocean at Hampton Beach, NH.
This is a Memorial dedicated to New Hampshire's Veterans. She is overlooking the Ocean and looked so lovely in the evening sun. It was great be back at the ocean. It is a brisk 43 degrees tonight, so those sweatshirts and sweaters will finally get to be worn.
We are in Biddeford, Maine, and looking forward to some days by the shore.

And keep collecting those rocks...I know a little girl who'd love to have one brought back for her :)
