Today we left Syracuse, NY and journeyed through the countryside in New York. The trees were so very pretty. Words cannot express what the eyes behold.
Our trip led us to a small town called "Canajoharie", which we learned from an Antique Store owner, Joanie, means "the pot that cleans itself"---and there is a wonderful off-the-beaten-path falls and rockbed, where the Indians would go to do their washing. It is a special, serene spot which we enjoyed exploring.
I will also include one more photo of Niagara Falls taken from the Rainbow Bridge as we walked back from Canada. In the photo the 4 boats--Maid of the Mist can be seen. 2 from the USA and 2 from Canada.
The Falls on the left are the American Falls, and at the top is the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
One wonders how so much water can just keep coming over there at that speed and force, but it
certainly paints a lovely picture.
We arrived in Vermont this evening about 7 PM and can hardly wait to see what treasures are outside awaiting us.
